March Mid-Month Dishcloth & Spring Pot Holder and Dishcloth

The pinwheel dishcloth doubles nicely as a mat.
It was the mid-March KAL.
This was a fun cloth to do -- much easier than it looks.

These brightly colored kitchen articles brought sunshine on the blah days -- nothing like bright spring colors to lift the spirits.

A short break from dish/face cloths.....

Took a short break from knitting/crocheting to make this crazy quilt block for friend Laurie in Hawaii.
It's been a LONG time since I made a CQ block and I did have fun doing this one.

More Finished ~~~

All dishcloths/face cloths and pot holders pictured in this blog
are made of 100% cotton unless otherwise noted.

The top set is a knit dishcloth (left) and crocheted very thick
pot holder (right).     Love the cheerful colors.

This set (above) is all crocheted.  Both the dishcloth and super thick pot holder are crocheted .
Both of these (above) are knit dishcloths.

Am I Addicted or What????????

Two more dish cloths
and the pile grows ---

I guess you could say I am addicted to these colorful items.

February brings more......

Early February brings a couple more dishcloths. The "Kiss Me" one is part of the monthly dishcloth group knit a long.  The multi colored one is just because the vibrant colors bring rays of light on glum, dreary, winter days -- and it was fun to do.

My Next Major Project...

This will be my next major project -- with little dishcloths, etc., in between working on this.
There will be two of these when I'm done --- one in the more traditional beautiful Crimson color and the second in a gorgeous rose color. Both are the fantastic Silk and Merino yarn from the Diana Collection.

Valentine's Day

Finished up the red Valentine hearts dishcloth.

Bright and cheery.

Here's another Valentine cloth -- well, the colors are appropriate anyway.

Be sure to click on this photo to see the enlarged pattern. Fun
to do.

Finished another heart themed cloth.
Not the traditional red though.
Hard to get a photo showing the 3 hearts.
This is at an odd angle.

Another Trip To Michael's

Had to get there one more time before the sale is over or the yarn gone.

With this purchase today I am set for the rest of the winter and beyond LOL.

3 in Progress

I like to switch between pieces -- these are the 3 current dishcloths I am working on.

FUN DAY SALE AT MICHAEL'S

On one of the lists someone mentioned that cotton yarn is on sale at Michael's.  Bundled up the grandsons and took off.  Here is some of the great yarn at $1.00 a skein.

TWO MORE FOR THE FUN OF IT~~~~~

Here are two more dishcloths I made this week --- the crocheted one on the left (I easily finished 2 crocheted ones in one evening) and a knitted on the right -- took me one evening to do one knitted --  both are very practical patterns for dishcloths, don't you think?

I love the spring looking colors of this yarn -- in -20 degrees any hint of spring is a welcome sight.

Both are made with Peaches & Cream (Peppercorn Ombre) 100% cotton yarn.  The crocheted piece is worked with a "G" hook and the knitted with #9 knitting needles.

(Click link on right sidebar for more information).  All participants used the same pattern. This is the first of two for January.
